The historic Wittenberg Castle underwent a comprehensive renovation by Bruno Fioretti Marquez for the 500th Reformation Jubilee. The architects approached the building as a "palimpsest"—a document with multiple historical layers. The conversion preserved the castle's medieval structure while adding contemporary elements that respect its historical significance. The renovation employed three key strategies: "editing" to reveal valuable historical elements, "deleting" to create necessary circulation spaces, and "post-scriptum" to add new functions. The attic was transformed into a preacher's seminary with an alternating system of blocks and courtyards, bounded by a cloister path that references historical monastic architecture while creating new spatial experiences.

维滕贝格城堡由Bruno Fioretti Marquez建筑事务所为纪念宗教改革500周年进行了全面修复与改造。建筑师将这座历史建筑视为“羊皮纸”——一种承载多重历史痕迹的载体。在结构与材料方面，设计保留了城堡原有的砖石木结构，同时引入混凝土、木材和水磨石等现代材料，形成鲜明对比。改造采用三种策略：通过“编辑”揭示有价值的历史元素，如砖拱顶和精美的房间序列；通过“删除”在L形建筑两端创建必要的垂直交通空间；通过“后记”在顶层阁楼增添新功能。阁楼改造为传教士研讨会场所，设计了交替排列的体块与庭院系统，周围环绕回廊式通道，既呼应了历史修道院建筑特征，又创造了全新的空间体验。这一项目成功平衡了历史保护与现代功能需求，使维滕贝格城堡——马丁·路德发起宗教改革的重要场所——焕发新生，成为连接过去与未来的文化桥梁。
