JASMAC AOYAMA

Tokyo, Japan

1991

Designed by Pritzker Prize laureate Aldo Rossi, JASMAC AOYAMA is a landmark of Postmodern architecture in Tokyo. Completed in 1991, its playful, block-like facade features a striking composition of white Carrara marble, blue Macaubas granite, bold yellow walls, and red framed windows. The building's Italian architectural roots are evident in the 12-meter high open ceiling at the entrance and a dramatic spiral staircase. It embodies Rossi's unique vision of urban architecture that blends monumentality with a sense of wonder.

JASMAC AOYAMA
